about me
I currently work for Alyce, a Boston-based startup as a Lead Marketing Designer. Previously, I was a Product Designer at Wayfair, an everything home e-commerce company. Before that, through Northeastern University's co-op program, I had the pleasure of working with some amazing people from a range of environments such as a local Boston web design agency to a Google Ventures backed startup company.
I enjoy all aspects of interactive design from visual design to user experience design to front-end development, and I continuously strive to increase my knowledge and refine these skills. I also dabble in photography, vectored illustrations, iconography, hand-lettering, and pixel art.
My parents gave me my Chinese name 'Phi Phi' (飞飞 or 飛飛 or fei fei) which means to fly and soar high. (The Vietnamese and English pronunciation is fee fee.) They also named me after the country I was born in— the Philippines. My family moved to California briefly before finally settling permanently in a town in the Greater Boston Area. I am currently living in the city of Boston.
I am an avid reader of fiction— dystopians and fantasy being my favorite genres. I'm a Potter-head, Sailor Moon is my queen, and I nerd over the DC and Marvel franchises. I collect playing cards, books, cute writing utensils and beauty products. I dabble in photography and handlettering. I really dislike the smell of oranges and will avoid raisins like the plague. Also currently living out my childhood dream of becoming a Pokémon master. ~*~ #TEAMMYSTIC ~*~
